Phil Morse was born in 1970 in Reading, UK, spending his early days in the South of England before moving to the North West at 11. He read English Literature at the University of Sheffield, before enjoying many happy years in vibrant Manchester, immersed in the city’s music and club scenes, making a name for himself as a promoter and DJ.
He relocated to the city of Malaga in southern Spain in January 2006, before moving an hour further down the coast to settle in the fishing town of Estepona. Here, as well as learning Spanish himself, he qualified as an English language teacher, intending to return the favour to the locals — a skill he’s yet to use, although he’s still learning Spanish day by day.
Phil lists marathon running as one of his hobbies, and has run the London, New York, Stockholm, Prague, Barcelona and Lanzarote races. He is also a keen cook, specialising in preparing curries, which he’s found the Spanish really aren’t fond of.
He lives with wife, Faye and son, Dylan.
